Thanks to the generous support from Powers Health, Art in Focus is FREE to adult learners of all ages who are interested in the arts and its impact on our world. Sessions are held every second and fourth Monday of the month at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster. Presentations begin at 10am and run between 45 mins and 10 hour.

Fear of the Dark: Arts obsession with primal fear

Join us for a lecture on the abstract presence of ‘darkness’ in works of art. Darkness is a ghost of an idea,, and in a world which has illuminated its presence, it still haunts us every day. This lingering obsession can be seen in the works created by artists throughout the centuries.
