About the Jurors

This year’s jurors are Jackson Junge Gallery Proprietor, Chris Jackson, and Jackson Junge Gallery Director, Kaitlyn Miller. As a gallery proprietor, Jackson has dedicated his career to curating and promoting high-quality contemporary art. With several decades of experience in the art world, he has honed his skills in identifying emerging artists and fostering relationships with established artists and collectors. Jackson graduated from Boston University with a BFA from the School for the Arts. After moving to Chicago, he and his wife, Laura Junge, opened Jackson Junge Gallery in 2009. Jackson is committed to educating the public about art and has organized numerous events to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work. His ultimate goal is to create a dynamic and supportive environment for artists to thrive and connect collectors with the art that inspires them.

Gallery Director, Kaitlyn Miller, has been a staple at Jackson Junge Gallery since 2016 and has served as Gallery Director since 2022. In her time at the Gallery, Miller has flexed her curatorial muscles and has worked hard to continue the gallery’s mission of fostering relationships with a diverse community of artists. As a practicing artist, Kaitlyn brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Jackson Junge Gallery as well as a deep enthusiasm for the arts. Miller moved to Chicago in 2014 after earning her BFA from the University of North Texas College of Visual Art and Design and has additionally studied fresco techniques at the Lorenzo de’ Medici school in Florence, Italy. Miller along with her husband, Jordan Miller, a local artist, have made a home here in Chicago and carved out a space for themselves in the Chicago art scene.
